The management of Adkan Engineers believes in doing what we do best – “Committing Ourselves to Client Satisfaction”. Currently staffing 40 employees, our motivated survey staff has allowed us to maintain our position at the top of the survey community in Southern California.  Over the past 25 years, Adkan has completed hundreds of topographic surveys, boundary surveys, and civil design and construction surveys on many municipal projects, some of which are detailed herein.

As a State of California Certified SBE Firm, we currently field nine (9) survey crews, eight (8) of which are full-time and four (4) of which have GPS capabilities.  Having nine survey crews allows us the flexibility to staff a job within a one-hour notice in a crisis situation.  As a Union firm, we pay prevailing wage and require all crew members to complete the four-year Surveyors Joint Apprenticeship School, sponsored by the Operating Engineers, Local 12.  Our party chiefs have all completed the Party Chief curriculum offered through the same program.

At Adkan Engineers we use the latest in survey technology, including Trimble Total Stations with data collection, Trimble GPS 5700 / 5800 equipment with RTK capabilities, Eagle Point Software, AutoCAD Land Desktop 2009, AutoCAD Civil 3D 2009, and MicroStation capabilities.

Over the years Adkan Engineers has created an experienced staff diverse in different tasks and projects. We have recently coordinated with the County of Riverside in post-processing CORS values for a network to perform a record of survey, approximately 11 miles long and spanning Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. This required coordination with the County Surveyor of each of these Counties. 

We have prepared over 140 A.L.T.A. surveys, most of which included boundary and topographic mapping.  A couple of examples of these types of projects completed by Adkan Engineers are the A.L.T.A. survey of Air Force Village West and the A.L.T.A. survey of Eagle Mountain Landfill, in the County of Riverside.  Also, we have qualified staff, previously employed by the County of Riverside, providing map checking, plats and legal descriptions, and preparation of right-of-way maps.
